In some cases, the goal is to reunite the child with their biological family. In others, it may involve finding a permanent alternative, such as adoption or legal guardianship.

During their placement, children and young people will gain essential life skills and knowledge relevant to their age and needs, supporting their future independent living. If transitioning to independent living is proposed upon leaving our facility, a Pathway Plan will be collaboratively developed with their Placing Authority - Leaving Care Team at the appropriate age, and copies will be provided to all relevant parties. Prior to their move, our staff will partner with the Placing Authority to deliver a comprehensive outreach support package.
We've introduced the 'Independence Booklet' program, which assesses independence-related skills and knowledge. The young people will receive support to complete tasks and scenarios preparing them for life outside Wren House.

The Wren House team firmly believes that every child and young person in our care should have equal access to educational opportunities and should not face academic or social disadvantages. Some may have experienced negative educational experiences, affecting their self-esteem and learning provision. We work diligently to ensure that referring authorities actively collaborate with Wren House staff and local educational authorities before placement
